One of the themes we wanted to capture through this archive is how people stay connected with each other when many activities have transitioned to  Zoom and other online social media platforms. We also hoped to include the stories and perspectives of older folks who may not be able to submit and share their stories directly to the archive due to technological limitations. Through mutual connections, we were able to accomplish both of these things by connecting with the Bayanihan Choir*, who were very happy to share how they’ve been maintaining the choir through the pandemic! Below are some songs that they recorded over Zoom. We hope that they brighten your day, as they did for us!

*Bayanihan Choir, a collaboration between Community Music Center and the Bayanihan Equity Center, is a choir for older adults. The choir sings songs in Tagalog, as well as other languages.
